Attribute points at level 10 - Guild Wars Forums

Hello.

I'm pretty new to this game, and I'm confused as to how many attribute points I should I accumulated by level 10. The guide posted on this site states that you gain 10 a level, but I am not getting anywhere near that. I think I have around 50 at level 10. Am I missing something? How many should I have?

You get 5 per level until around level 10, then you start getting 10 per level. Also, there are quests (after Ascention?) that will give more attribute points.

200 points total
------------------
50 points (levels 1-10 x5 points each)
100 points (levels 11-20 x 10 points each)
50 points (Ascension quests, etc.)

So, you'd be dead-on for level ten.

Is there a difference between skill points and attribute points?

If you get some points from quests, is it possible to somehow miss those quests and be shorted?

There is one pre-searing quest that grants a skill point. Are you counting that one?

The points you use to buy skills from NPC's, are those the same points you use to increase your various things like Expertise or sword mastery?

After you hit level 20, I have seen others say you still gain skill points. Is this true?

Sorry for all the questions but I thought do it all at once. Thank you in advance for any help.

Skill points are used to learn skills. You can basically ignore this, you will probably never run out. (You'll be catching skills from quests more than buying them anyways.)

Attribute points increase your different stats, which then improve the power of your skills. You get attribute points as outlined above: 5 for each level 1-10, 10 for each level 11-20, and another 50 from various quests and your Ascension. That makes a total of 200 points.

What all quests give you attribute points? I've done the ascension and "the forgotton ones" (might not be the exact name) quest where you get 15 attr points, but I'm still short. What other quests give you attribute points?
